Evaluation

Evaluating our work is fundamental to providing accessible, safe and effective services. Good evaluations help program funders and providers make informed decisions. They should include all key stakeholder perspectives, including service users.

At Cleugh we understand that evaluation resources are sometimes scarce, and we will work within your budget and scope to design practical activities which inform future programming.

Our evaluation reports are fit for purpose, clearly laid out, and graphic designed. They typically include an infographic or summary findings suitable for communication with funders and other key stakeholders.

We are also experienced in providing further engagement strategies designed to leverage good evaluation findings.

Process Evaluations

Cleugh offers process evaluations, often as a first step to further model refinement work. Our process evaluations consider:

  • If your program has been implemented as intended, and reached those it was designed to support

  • Any contextual factors impacting your work at systems, organisational and program levels

  • The quality of services being delivered, including how accessible and safe they are

  • Program strengths and further development opportunities

Effectiveness Evaluations

Cleugh provides outcome (medium term) and impact (longer term) evaluation services. Outcome evaluations are in demand by government decision makers and other funders as they provide an evidence based method to inform future funding decisions. We have strong quantitative and qualitative skills to deliver high quality outcome evaluations which consider:

  • How well your program has achieved its goals

  • Outcomes achieved for specific populations, communities or systems

  • The effectiveness of program strategies, approaches, and interventions

  • Changes in the knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, skills and resources

  • Unintended or unexpected program outcomes, both positive and negative

  • Program value for money, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency

  • Program sustainability and long-term impacts

  • The equity and fairness of the program outcomes and impacts, including who it reached and who benefited
